HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

All batches did celebrate the coming of new year and this was another wonderful experience at CEC. Today, in the morning, there appeared a new year message from the Principal, wishing a happy and prosperous new year for all CECians, near room # 305.

Mr. Biju R Mohan, a permanent faculty in Computer Department and current senate advisor, resigns. He’s got a permanent lecture post at NIT, Surat. The college senate presented him a memento during the inauguration function of Tiger Fives today.

As I mentioned earlier, Tiger Fives – Intra CEC Fut Sal commenced today. Mr. Biju R Mohan inaugurated the series. The first match was S6A Vs S4D in which the score was 4-0 and the second match was S6B Vs S4A which ended up in 5-1. Other matches follow.

As it’s decided eralier in the senate, the annual sports meet 2008-09 has been scheduled to be conducted on 15th-17th January, 2009 at, as usual, Thiruvalla ground. Mr. Jerin George, Sports Club Secretary invites all CECians to the meet. Division of houses shall be done tomorrow after noon. Discussions regarding automation of registration and documentation system is going on, by which the records shall be saved for future meets. Mr. Jofin Joseph, Secretary, PRODDEC has been working on it.
