Recently we had a talk with Ajith Sen Sir and he told us that the amount required for the remainig works of the building have already been remitted to the PWD. Further proceedings are to be taken by them. This amount includes cost of works of the building as well as that for making a wall around the plot for college hostel. Let’s hope this will happen at the earliest.

Ajith Sen sir told us that we have been trying to begin a Navy Unit. But it’s very hard to achieve this, and formalities are on the go.

The PTA has taken a decision to build up a new language lab, consisting of 35 consoles and a central console. This shall cost much, but he said that this could be inevitable in this era of recession that students with top soft skills only will be recruited by the MNC’s. The currently existing one might not meet the requirements and taht’s why we are going for a new one. Happy to hear that our PTA (FYI, in 2008-09, PTA was formed for the first time in the history of CEC) is very active in the college activities.

Football camp by Mr. Jyothi, a Chengannur native and the football coach of Pathanamthitta Football Club, who’s been working as the coach of many schools, is going well. Many in the national football team are the disciples of Mr. Jyothi. The attendees are very much happy about the way it progresses.
